Bridget "Mae" (Sarkis) Elhilow

Rochester: "Siti Mae" died peacefully 7/25/17. Predeceased by her loving husband Edmond, Sr., daughter Cecilia Coulter, sister Julia DeLorme, brothers Peter, Thomas, John Sarkis. Survived by daughter Joanne (JK) Terrell of AL; son Edmond, Jr. (Gail); grandchildren Shawn (Diane) Jefferies of TX, Joe (Jen) Elhilow, Chris Elhilow, Nick (Tanya) Coulter, Jamie Coulter, Jade Terrell of CA; great-grandchildren Noah, Ryah, Jayden, Joseph Elhilow, Aaron, Charlie Coulter. Many nieces, nephews & cousins. Very Special friend Karen Houck. A special Thank you to all the staff at The Sunset House for taking very special care of Mae in her final days. Andrew Barberio

EAST ROCHESTER: Andrew Barberio, 98, died Easter Sunday April 16, 2017 at Highland Hospital. Predeceased by wife Carmella Schumaci Barberio, infant son Michael Andrew, three brothers and four sisters. Survived by daughters Andrea Mancuso, Heather (Patrick) Mauro; grandchildren Christopher Andrew (Christina) Mancuso, Dana Lee Mancuso, Kara (William) DeSimone, Erin (Jason) White, Victoria Mauro; great grandchildren Ashley (George) Blackman, Andrew, Archer, Aliza, Adam, Lillian and Miles Mancuso, Gavin and Weston White and Isabella Cross.

He retired in 1981 from Aeolian Piano Co. in East Rochester as a foreman. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Army-Air Corp. from 1942-1946. He loved Spring and getting ready to plant his garden which he took great pride in. May it now grow in heaven.

Calling hours will be held Thursday April 20 from 3 to 7pm at Troiano-Pusateri Funeral Home Inc., 209 West Ave, East Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 am Friday April 21 at St. Jerome's Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jerome's Church or Lollypop Farm.

Norma Pataccoli

East Rochester, NY - Mrs. Norma Pataccoli, 86. Gone to heaven to join her family on February 14, 2017. Beloved mother, wife of two great husbands, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born on May 15 1930, in Canton, NY to Rodger and Dorothy Hathaway. Norma was a self-employed hairdresser, running her own business out of her home for fifty years. She was an active member of the St. Jerome's Church, and volunteered her time to the East Rochester Ambulance, The East Rochester Public Library and many other organizations. An avid baker, Norma was always graciously giving cookies and other baked goods to friends, family, and neighbors.

Predeceased by both parents and her two brothers; husband Joseph (Doc) Levato, husband Louis (Gigi) Pataccoli and Son Michael (Muskrat) Levato.

Survived by her sons Ross (Christine) Levato, Lawrence (Lee) Levato; grandchildren Joan (Eric), Joseph (Melissa), Daniel (Sarah), Alessandra, Kathryn, great-grandchild Madison Levato; daughter-in-law Priscilla Williams and Family; Close friends, family, nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 17 from 4 - 7 PM at the Troiano Funeral Home, 290 West Avenue, East Rochester. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 18 at 9:30 AM at St. Jerome's Church, 207 South Garfield St, East Rochester; burial to follow immediately after at White Haven.

Anthony Durante

East Rochester: Anthony "Pooch" Durante, 97, died on November 26, 2016, at The Fairport Baptist Home. Pooch was a Golf Pro, and worked at several clubs over the years, Midville CC, Braemar CC, and Hillendale, and most recent, Victor Hills. He was a Army Veteran of World War II, was also a professional bowler. Pooch is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Angela Durante. He is survived by daughters, Georgia Durante, Sharon (Gary) Brockler, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held at St. Jerome's Church, Garfield St., East Rochester on Wed. December 7 at 10:30 am. Memorials may be made to The Fairport Baptist Home, 4646 Nine Mile Point Rd., Fairport, NY 14450.

Yolanda LaMendola

East Rochester: The chair on our front porch is empty and forever vacant. Yolanda LaMendola passed away quietly into the arms of God on September 18th, 2016.

Predeceased by her husband Achille, sister Anna, brothers Vincent and Pasquale, Nicholas her father, and Rose her mother.

She is survived by her sons Joseph, Michael, and Daniel, his wife Naomi and daughter Layla and, daughters Roseann and Carol Ann, nephews James, Thomas, David and Ronald, nieces Kathrine and Barbara, granddaughters Kelly, Zooey and Theresa, grandsons Christopher, Nicholas, Antonio and Alexander and great- grandchildren Gabriella, William, Carter, Jesse, Joshua, Shelby and Logan and her many friends from St. Jerome's Church and the Library.

Yolanda was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed listening to the Opera, singing and reading her never ending supply of dime store novels and paperback book. But most of all, she loved sitting on the front porch watching her flowers grow and the world pass by so she could wave and say "Hello".

Bernadine M. Greider

Greece: Passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at the age of 89.

Predeceased by husband; Robert in 1977, son Robert and special friend Arthur Bourget.

Survived by daughters: Jane Ferguson (Tom Pusateri), Ruth Walker, Bev (Tom) Guthrie, Gail (Ed) Elhilow, sons: Fred and Walt Greider, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Bernie worked as a telephone operator for Rochester Telephone Co for many years.

Paul John Cimicata

East Rochester: Passed away suddenly but peacefully on July 28th, 2016 at age 78. Paul was born in Rochester, NY on April 28th, 1938 to the late John and Helen Cimicata. He was predeceased by his sisters Ann (Albert) George, Frances Cimicata, and Eleanor Pioli. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Cimicata; sons Paul Cimicata, Jr. and Todd (Sue) Cimicata; daughters Michele (Tom) Shone and Elfe Cimicata; brothers-in-law Dick (Carol) Correnti and Lou Pioli; sisters-in-law Barbie (Carter) Montross and Carol (Victor) Conti; grandsons Rob, Evan, Nathan, Toby, Mason, and Logan; nieces, nephews, countless cousins, friends, and former students.

An accomplished teacher as well as a gifted vocalist and pianist, Paul dedicated his career to instilling his love of music within his students at Rush-Henrietta High School. A stern yet exceptionally caring man, his 35 years of teaching saw him set multiple precedents and touch the lives of countless students through his unconditional love and innate ability to motivate. In 1977, Paul initiated a European performance program for his choir students, allowing them to experience European cultures as well as perform in many Eastern Bloc countries; such as Russia, Romania, Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic. When he retired in 1996, he committed himself to service as an incredibly active Rotarian and choir director for his hometown Catholic Church, St. Jerome's; and also as a devoted member of the Music Ministry at St. Joseph's Church in Bradenton, Florida.

Family and Friends are invited to Paul's calling hours on Sunday and Monday from 4pm to 7pm at Troiano Funeral Home in East Rochester. His memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd at 10am at St. Jerome's Church. Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. Julius P. Rodi

East Rochester: Died on July 17, 2016 at Canandaigua Veteran's Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Mary, in 1986, 3 sisters, and 1 brother, and longtime friend and companion, Shirley Layton. He is survived by his daughter Vicki Rodi, and granddaughter Gina Rodi, and several nieces & nephews.

Julius was a WWII veteran retired from the Navy with 30 years of service as a Chief Petty Officer. He was the owner of Rodi Antiques in East Rochester, prior to that was a draftsman & water treatment specialist for Canada Dry & Birdseye Food Cooperation, also owned a consulting company for a beverage company.

No prior calling hours. Burial will be on Wednesday July 27, 2016 1 pm at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorial contributions to VA hospital in Canandaigua, or American Cancer Society .

East Rochester: Sad to say that our beloved grandpa, James Scorza, 95 years young, a World War II vet, has lost his battle and passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 19, 2016. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth and daughter Carole. He is survived by 4 grandchildren; James (Laura) Knorr, Hope Pirillo, Christopher (Susan) Mousaw, Randy (Denise) Mousaw and 6 great grandchildren Deanna, Amanda, Taylor, Randi, Cameron and Madison; brothers Anthony and Peter Scorza. We lost a wonderful man, Rest in Peace Grandpa.

East Rochester: 88, suddenly left this world Sunday, May 22, 2016. She lived a long full life. Survived by son, Nicolas (Carol); grandchildren, Maria and Nicolas; sisters, Dolores "Honey" (Henry) Mancini, Anne LaBella; several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.

LaVerne Miles Kailburn

Hammondsport: LaVerne Miles Kailburn heeded a distant call on Sunday, May 15, 2016, leaving behind his wife, Mary of 68 years; five children: David (Sandra); Sharon; Diane (Lee); Mark (Cindy); and Darcy (Michael); two brothers, Darrell (Doris) and Daniel (Heather); seven grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and Jezzie. He was predeceased in death by sisters Vivian and Peggy Sue; and brother Dewey.

During WWII, he served in the Philippines and post-war Japan. Eventually he retired from Oak Hill Country Club and moved to Keuka Lake.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 20, at 1 p.m. at White Haven Cemetery, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY. Reception to follow.

Grace I. Pullano

East Rochester: March 3, 2016. Predeceased by her beloved husband John Pullano who lost his life in the line of duty as a Monroe County Deputy Sheriff in 1957. Survived by son John (Cindy) Pullano; sisters MaryAnn Rotolo, Diane Indovino; brother John (Grace) Indovino; grandchildren Jillian (Andrew Schwittek) Pullano, Stephanie (Tony Scally) Pullano, and Rachel (John) Strickland; great-grandchildren Madi, Damion, Samantha, Lyra and Holly; numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews, and loving friends.

Grace retired from Monroe County after working for over 30 years in the Department of Social Services. She was a lifelong member of St. Jerome's Church in East Rochester.

Alice Tatro

East Rochester: Alice Tatro, age 86, passed away with her loving family at her bedside on February 24, 2016. Alice is predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth Tatro. Daughters Evelyn White and husband Andy, Linda Davie and husband Larry, Patty Finnochario and husband Robin and AnnMarie Palmari. East Rochester: Betty Ferrari passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 9, 2016. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Frank Ferrari.

Lewis A. Savino

East Rochester: 83, died November 18, 2015 at Leo Center for Caring. Survived by 6 children, Luann Ramos, Michael (Darlene), Sandra Hernandez, Dana (Lisa), Tony & Kimberly; 12 grandchildren Jill (Eric) Zeilger, Leeann (Will) Tedone, Mark Boyer, Ryan Chatinski, Emmanuel & Louis Hernandez, Serena Savino, Jerry Handle, Valerie (Brian) Andula, Rachel Oquendo, Krista (Paul) Chinnici; 4 great grandchildren and one on the way. Predeceased by his wife Patty in 2008 , parents Lewis & Mary Savino.

Lewis was a veteran of WWII in the Army serving with the 15th Constabuary. He worked for Eastman Kodak as a machinist. He was a member of the VFW Post 8495 in Fairport and a member of the American Legion Post 1229 in Penfield. He loved woodworking, was a world traveler, loved golfing and bowling. He loved life and was kind to all he met. Memorial contributions to the Veterans Administration.

Angela Durante

East Rochester: On October 31, 2015 at the age of 89 Angela got her wings. She is survived by her husband, Anthony "Pooch" Durante; daughters, Sharon Brockler of Penfield and Georgia Durante of Los Angeles; sisters, Mary Urich and Dolly LaFica; son-in-law, Gary Brockler; grandchildren, Jodie DeLaus, Lynn Hartline, Gary Brockler, Toni Anders, Dustin Adray; and several great-grandchildren whom she adored.

Philip W. Bourgoin

East Rochester: Philip W. Bourgoin passed away September 29 at the Advent House in Fairport NY surrounded by friends and family following a battle with cancer.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday October 10 at 9:30am at St. Jerome's Church, East Rochester. The family will accept condolences one hour before Mass in the foyer of the church. He was born on April 16, 1937 in fort Kent Maine, receiving his BS degree from Aroostook State Teacher's College in Presque Islae,Maine. He was a paratrooper in the US Army 101st Airborn Division from 1957-1959. A job at Xerox brought him and his family to East Rochester where they lived for the past 48 years. Phil loved his family deeply and will be remembered for his great sence of humor, his love of sports, his incredibly strong memory and the many trips and adventures he planned. During his 20 years of retirement, Phil fulfilled his dream of traveling throughout the country and spending winters in sunny and warm Phoenix, AZ.

Besides leaving behind the love of his life, JoAnn and his beloved three children, he also leaves his most precious treasures, 9 wonderful grandchildren: Christopher, Tyler, David, Jonathan, Justin, Dylan, Daniel, Courtney and Drew.

East Rochester: Margaret Della Pietra, 90, died Sunday Sept. 27. Predeceased by parents Rose & Gaetano Della Pietra; sister Christine Beauchamp. Survived by nieces, nephews and their families: Linda (Ralph) Brongo, Bernie Beauchamp, Phil Beauchamp, Jeanne (Patrick) Shanley, Bob (Joan) Beauchamp, Jim (Kelly) Beauchamp, Mary (David Guadagnino) Beauchamp; brother-in-law Gerard Beauchamp.

Margaret was a retiree of Stromberg Carlson/General Dynamics and a lifetime member of St. Jerome's Church. Fairport: 66, died Wednesday August 5, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by parents and brother. East Rochester: Joan Cloutier of Pittsford passed peacefully on Thursday June, 25 at The Highlands at Pittsford Living Center. She was born in Walden, NY in 1932 and was a long time resident of the Rochester area. Joan was a retired teacher, counselor and real estate agent and is survived by her son Michael and ex-husband Gene in addition to many friends. Joan is pre-deceased by her parents, David and Bernadette, brothers Brian and David and sister Patricia.

Visitation will be held at Troiano-Pusateri Funeral Home, 209 West Ave., East Rochester on Wednesday July 1 from 4 - 6 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. John of Rochester, 8 Wickford Way Fairport, NY on Thursday July 2 at 10 AM. Lucy DiFlorio

East Rochester: Lucy DiFlorio, an East Rochester resident for 60 years, died Monday (March 30) at age 99. She was born in Italy in 1915 and emigrated to America in 1926.

She is predeceased by her husband, Sam, The Barber and her sisters Giovanina Nazzaro, Immaculata Rivellino, Angelina D'Eufemia and brothers Nick Crispo and Rev. Alphonse Crispo.
Lucy is survived by her sister Carmella Della Pietra; children Elaine DiFlorio, Gerri (Lou) Rotunno, Barb DiFlorio, Fred (Marty) DiFlorio, Marie DiFlorio; grandchildren Bob (Lisa) Dattore, Jackie (John) Giust; great grandchildren Emily and Eric Dattore, Kyle Giusti; many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday (April 6) at 9am at St. Jerome's Church, East Rochester. Internment at Whitehaven.
